Was what Summer was wondering. Running a hand through her russet brown hair, she glanced carefully at the egg she was sitting next to. She had just claimed it from the Nursery... what was in it, though? Carefully, she poked it.
"Ow!" she exclaimed, grasping her left index finger in the other digits on her right hand. She had poked it a bit roughly, and... that egg was hard. Grimacing, she tried to pay attention to the weird, bright orange color and not the pain that was throbbing at the end of her finger. With a sigh, she loosened up her face from the weird position and continued staring at it, relating it to the sky... the colors contrasted each other so much.

Seeing a girl sitting near a sidewalk, Kokoro instantly became curious. She trotted up to the other person, with Choco Chip the pinsir following close behind. The area was unusually sparse of people for this time of day, and Kokoro was excited to see another person.
"Hiya!" she said from a bit far away, hoping not to startle the person. "What'cha doin' out here so far from the other peoples?"

Summer raised her head quickly as she heard someone's footsteps, determined not to reveal her Quilava part. Trying not to be startled, she hoped that this other person wouldn't think that her bright orange hair was strange. She glanced at the Pinsir as the other person approached, asking why Summer was so far away from other people in a weird tone. With a faintly amused smile, she replied. "I just received this egg and I was wondering what would hatch from it." She chuckled halfheartedly, glancing at the finger that she had used to poke the egg. "It was definitely harder than I expected." Studying it, she tried to figure out what it was.

Kokoro sat down and shrugged. She lowered her head to take a glance at the egg that had been placed next to Summer. "Orange usually signals Fire, but not always. There are plenty of Pokemon that are orange and not Fire-type."
Choco Chip wandered over to the egg and put his stubby claws on his hips as he stared at it pensively.
Kokoro giggled and turned her head, directing her gaze towards her Pinsir. "What'cha doing, Choco?" She returned her attention to the girl. "That's Choco Chip. He was my first Pokemon, and my only for now.
"Oh, yeah, and my name's Kokoro." She held up a hand, as if to wave, and grinned. "What's yours?"

"Oh." Summer looked up at the other girl, apparently named Kokoro. She had been paying too much attention to the trainer's curious Pinsir to really hear it. "Uh, I'm Summer," she said slowly, still hoping that the girl wasn't suspicious about her being a Quilava morph. However, the teenager tried not to be too panicked, otherwise it would surely be revealed. She also had to keep Kokoro away from her back, or she might have noticed the odd dark blue stripe that went from the back of her neck to the base of her spine...
